#KidsPickTheWinner [WrestleMania 31 Edition]

This is the first edition of Kids Pick the Winner on the blog.  We've actually been doing this at home since last year's March Madness.  I'd make brackets and let the kids pick.  Like most of America, we didn't know who we were picking, and just went for it.  They'd pick NFL playoff games, Oscars, Super Bowl winners, etc.  We'd have a great time doing it and they were pretty spot on with a lot of their predictions.

Here Are The Players:

Their challenge is to accurately predict the winners for this weekend's WWE WrestleMania 31 on March 29, 2015.  They've been watching it here and there, they have no idea of any rumors of anyone leaving, arriving, special guests or contracts running out.

The winner will be awarded the Kids Pick The Winner Championship belt to defend it at the next event.

If you're reading this afterwards.  The results have been updated and the champion crowned.

#RKOOuttaNoWhere #RKOMyKids

Seth was just getting a banana when...

Randy Orton is a wrestler with the WWE.  He's an established main event player.

His finisher is the RKO.

This is what it looks like.

RKO on Shane McMahon

When he's not RKOing everyone on the WWE, he's RKOing everyone on the internet with the #RKOOuttaNowhere videos.

You can YouTube RKO Outta Nowhere and you'll get a ton of funny videos...

I have an idea how they do the placing the Randy on the videos, but I can't do it with my computer.  But I wanted to have fun, so I took some pictures of the kids and superimposed Randy coming over to my house and RKOing them.

RKO to Celi

RKO to Emma

RKO to Seth

They had fun watching me make them.

Maybe soon I can learn how to do the videos..

If you want the link to the Randy or how you can do it yourself, just ask.

I'll probably annoy with more later.

I've imported my other older blogs to this one.  Mainly so I can have the page count and companies will see I have a history of blogging and haven't only talked about Teen Titans for a couple weeks.

Blogs Imported Are:
  • Welcome to Boltonshire (which contained Juggling Eric)
  • Dad Hacks
  • Crappy Writing Blog
I also figured since I'm trying to be more rounded and not just a "Dad Blogger", I should have them all in one place.

My wife and I have been married ten years.  Our wedding was small.  Real small. It was at her dad's house on New Year's Eve.  We had a pastor from our church and invited just siblings and a few close friends.  Mingling and a reception happened during the evening and we were married a little after midnight on New Year's Day.

So we're doing it big this time!!

We're doing the church chapel and inviting everyone this time.

The first time I had one of my brothers as my Best Man and my wife had a cousin and friend as her Maids of Honor.  I don't remember how I asked my brother, but I'm sure I either asked him before or during the mingling and reception.

My wife tells me she's having seven Bridesmaids/Maids of Honor.  Since this is the Era of Pinterest everyone is being crafty and trendy.  Apparently, formally asking your bridal party is a thing now.

My brother's asked me to stand in their weddings either on the phone or text.  One brother told me I was in it by telling me I need to go to Men's Warehouse before the end of the month.

Via text.

So we couldn't tell anyone we were doing this until we told the party people.

Kristie told her girls via an announcement she made.

So I had to do something kind of like it, but in my own idiom.

I thought and thought about it.  I thought about making a football ticket like announcement, but passed.

I'm a comic dork, so I decided to make a comic book cover and ran with it.

Each cover was custom made for each guy. Welcome to Boltonshire was the name of my last blog. The date of the wedding is the date of the issue and the issue number would be the issue number if it were a consecutive running comic from January 2005 until January 2016.

I had fun with it.  They all thought it was cool.

I'm glad we're only having one renewal because I don't know how'd I top this.

March Madness is in full effect.  Brackets are being filled and eventually busted.  We do an annual Bracket Challenge in Boltonshire, and I wanted to do something a little different as well.  I asked the kids to name me Thirty Two Heroes from whatever genre.  I got more than enough and narrowed it down to the thirty-two below and separated into four categories.

Justice League
Teen Titans

The plan is to put it to vote on twitter and see who is the Super Hero March Madness 2015 Champion.

The winner will get something.

Maybe a movie deal.

Or a comic.

Or their own TV show.

We'll see.

Here's the full bracket.

Justice League

Teen Titans

So the voting starts now for the first round.  Voting is exclusively on Twitter.  Follow me at @ericdbolton to vote.

Vote Now. Vote Often.

#Boys Versus Girls

People hate Teen Titans, GO!

Teen Titans. GO! Is the greatest slice of television since God created the Garden.

Angry nerds don't like this show.

Here's an angry nerd now...

This video is dedicated to zombiehax.

#Sushi Towels

Some dude was sitting at home folding laundry one night while his wife was at work.  He was being creative with the laundry and rolled up the towels when putting them in the linen closet.  He took a step back and said, "that looks like rolled sushi."  "HEY.... What if?????"

And the rest is history.

This dude created towels, when rolled a certain way looks like sushi.

Pretty sweet huh?

If we had these towels, they'd all be rolled nice and neat before the first time they were used.  After that, they'd sit on my bed of over the desk chair.  They'd be on the kids floor or hanging on the towel rack.

Instead of being rolled after they were washed, they just sit in the clean laundry bin and pulled out when needed.

But the dude gets points for being creative.

All of which makes Sushi Towels...

#The Most Brilliant Show Ever Invented

Pop Quiz Hotshot!!!

What is the best television show ever?

How I Met Your Mother?

Breaking Bad?

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo?

Well unless you answered "TEEN TITANS, GO!" You're absolutely wrongzo!!!

 Here's a back story..

First there was Teen Titans (2003)...

Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven and Starfire.  They fought bad guys and were serious.  There was drama and little to no comedy.  8 to 15 year old nerds LOVED the show. It was the best show ever for them.

It was cancelled in 2006.  Those 8 to 15 year old nerds were upset, but they bought it on DVD and kept their little nerd dreams alive.

Then there was Young Justice (2010)...

Robin, Superboy, Aqualad, Miss Martian, Kid Flash and Artemis join forces and fight bad guys,  They were sidekicks who had something to prove to the main roster of super heroes.  Batman, Superman, Aquaman, etc.  They were serious about making them understand they weren't just sidekicks  and could be real heroes.

The nerds were now 12 to 20 years old and totally accepted it.  They wanted to be taken seriously.  They wanted to stick it to their parents and show them THEY could be responsible nerds.

It was cancelled in 2012.

The nerds were sad. More nerd dreams dying.  They had to settle for it eventually coming on Netflix.

But there was hope.  They heard that Teen  Titans was being rebooted in 2013.

The nerds now  15-23 years old we're so happy they couldn't wait for the return of the seriousness and original angst of being a teenager to come back to Cartoon Network.

Then this commercial came out...

The nerds were all...

Where was the angst?? Where was the drama?? Where was the seriousness?!?!?

9/10ths of the internet nerds died instantly.  But death couldn't stop them.    They found a way to come back to life and started letting the universe know how utterly crappy this new show was.

When it came out, the majority of the posts were like this...

Then you have stuff like this guy... I highlighted what was needed...

Dr Nerdy, indeed.

What these and all the other 15 - 23 year old nerds didn't realize was, this new show, Teen Titans GO!....

It was made for these nerds in training!!!

Yes. These are my kids.

Teen Titans, GO! fits the current cartoon block on Cartoon Network.  The original and Young Justice just don't anymore.  But the ONs (original nerds) just can't get over it.

So, why is this the best show ever invented in the history of the universe??  Well, I'm going to post a new Teen Titans, GO! video every week.  To show everyone who doesn't have little nerds in training, what it's all about.

Here's your first video.  Next week they'll be another.

You know how in the final minutes of Grey's Anatomy when everyone is dying and Yang is frumpy and that acoustic version of a song you heard in line at Starbucks is playing?  The song is supposed to reflect current mood of the characters.

In real life, we should have a soundtrack too.

Having six kids (five between the ages of 9 years and 18 months), life honestly is berserk.   You try to get things done that are important and you forego things that aren't.

Like trying to match socks ever again.

It ain't going to happen.

Anyways, this would be the first song on the Boltonshire Soundtrack.

#Cap'n Crunch Donut Holes

Taco Bell is getting more and more authentic with it's menu.  They've introduced Cap'n Crunch Donut Holes

They're donut holes filled with milk flavored icing and dusted with Capn' Crunch Berry Cereal.

I'm thinking they're on the breakfast menu, but I'm hoping they're an all day thing.

So before church AND after church today (I'm posting this on Sunday), head on out to Taco Bell and request a few dozen.  Tomorrow be a little late and bring them for your Co-Workers!!!

I'm kind of busy right now to read the nutritional value of these genius food items, but I'm sure they're endorsed by Michelle Obama and the food police.

All of which makes Taco Bell Cap'n Crunch Donut Holes....
